Movie Review: Man on Fire (2004)

My Rating: 4Stars

This afternoon I went to see the movie “Man on Fire” at AMC, Festival Walk. Another one of the movies from my Must See Movies list.

This is a remake of the original movie back in 1987, staring Scott Glenn. Majority of the movie had me capsulated but unfortunately I was still distracted by celluar phones going off.

Denzel Washington did a very good job, playing a character which he played many times before in other movies.

The ending is a bit disappointing and unlike the 1987 version. If I tell you any more I will give away the plot.

Movie Review: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004)

My Rating: 1Stars

Tonight I watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind staring Jim Carrey at Silvercord in Tsim Sa Tsui. Not one of the movies from my Must See Movies list.

What can I say? Unfortunately it is yet another one of those movies, where a famous, successful and well liked movie star try something different. My last experience of that was with Bill Murray in “Lost in Translation“.

It is definitely not a typical Jim Carrey movie that he had made in the past.

Although, I had place this movie in my “Must See Movies”, I will now remove it after watching it myself. To say the least I did not enjoy it, may be it was too deep and intellectual for me, you may decide that yourself.

Movie Review: Jersey Girl (2004)

My Rating: 4Stars

Today I saw the movie Jersey Girl at the Olympian Broadway theatre, it was a great movie with very good cast and tones of cameos. Another one from my Must See Movies list.

Raquel Castro played Ben Affleck’s character’s (Ollie) daughter. This movie is her first motion picture, but I can see that there will be many more to come.

The plot is simple but really makes one think about that are really important in their own lives.
