Level 11, 1 Cyberport 100 Cyberport Road Hong Kong, SAR, China	developed the online individuals subscription services; refined the process of producing the company podcasts; leveraged the latest social networking tools to drive more traffic to the company's online services.
	Oct. 2004 - Oct. 2007 Proprietor, Vinko's Treasures Hong Kong, SAR, China	I am the founder and developer of a web site that contains an online store that retails various quality products from around the world at competitive prices. These include Apple iPod and PDA accessories. Besides the Shop section (http://shop.vinko.com) we also have a store on eBay, both places serve to make these products available to the public. designed the User Experience of the web site; developed the visual design of the web site; managed the product selection and promotion of the online store; contributor to the editorial of the web site, particularly on new products and product reviews; managed the day to day operations. 	Apr. 1992 - Feb. 1998 Macintosh Consultant / Proprietor Vinko Enterprises Inc. 1368 Bunsden Avenue Mississauga, Ontario Canada, L5H 3T9	responsible for the technical directions and development of all "Stage I" applications within the suite of Telephone Directory Publication software on the MacOS, with an Empress RDBMS on the Unix server, from PAGE Systems International. Duties include Lead Engineering, Project Lead and Technical advisor to the company principals. Recently began a review and strategic planning for converting the "Stage I" suite of applications to Java based and compliance with EDI for order entry; completed a contract with Everyware Development Corp. of Mississauga. Responsible for technical developments for the Enterprise suite of products (Personal Information Management applications). These products are all written in C++ using the MacApp framework and Everyware's own RDBMS "Butler™" running on the MacOS; completed a contract in Chicago, Illinois for SPSS Inc. This involved working with a cross platform (Windows and MacOS) application framework; XVT™, that SPSS Inc. has chosen to use to create a version of SPSS for the Macintosh. I was responsible for designing and implementing a cross platform Editor using Paige™ and XVT™. In additional I also provided Macintosh technical training and advice on programming, MPW and various Macintosh "Look and Feel" philosophy to staff at SPSS. And to offer advice to management on various aspect of Macintosh implementation assisted Everyware Corporation of Mississauga on a short term contract using MacApp and C++; completed a MacApp, C++ contract with Sciex, a division of MDS Health Group. At this contract I developed an Object-Oriented data manipulation and instrument control application. Serving as Sciex's MacApp resource; completed a Macromedia Director contract with Medic Art Graphics Inc., producing a state of the art Medical Education application on the Macintosh compute; completed a software development contract with Hyperworks using the MacApp environment in C++; completed contracts developing XCMDs and XFCNs using the C and C++ programming languages and on the RunDMS application for Hyperworks in Los Angles; completed a C++ and MacApp maintenance contract with Comnetix Computer Systems, Inc. on the Ottawa Police's Strategic Information Management System application with an Oracle RDBMS running on a VAX.
	Sep. 1991 - Apr. 1992 Sr. Software Engineer COMPUneering Inc. 113 McCabe Crescent Thornhill, Ontario Canada, L6M 3B8	responsible for the LANDview's user interface design; responsible for all technical development for the company's Macintosh line of Civil Engineering software; developed with the latest beta release of the MacApp (Apple Macintosh's Object Oriented library) environment under the C++ programming language; Beta Tester for MacApp for Apple Computer, Inc.; extensive working knowledge of C++ and GUI is gained from the development of a Contouring and Terrain modeling application "LANDview".
	Mar. 1989 - Sep. 1991 Sr. Software Engineer Macintosh Division Comnetix Computer Systems Inc. 1440 Hurontario Street Mississauga, Ontario Canada, L5G 3H4	worked as the company's User Interface design specialist; part of a team of 4 developers for the company's custom Integrated Macintosh software systems; hands on development of a Mapping and Integrated Record Management system for Hamilton Wentworth Regional Police using the C programming language; development of a data analysis system for Ottawa Police Force using MacApp framework with the C++ programming language and the Oracle API; provided general technical support to other groups within the company; provided the latest in the technical advancements in the various areas to the company.
	Jan. 1988 - Apr. 1989 Software Consultant / Proprietor Vinko Enterprises Inc. 1368 Bunsden Avenue Mississauga, Ontario Canada, L5H 3T9	advised the management team of Federation Hall, University of Waterloo on the usefulness of computerized administration system; developed an automated night time job assignment application in DBase III+.

	May 1985 - September 1985 Software Consultant Municipal Management Policy Branch Ontario Ministry of Housing 777 Bay Street, 11th Floor Toronto, Ontario Canada, M5G 2E5	conducted user requirement assessments; utilizing DBase III+ I designed, coded and tested software applications which replaced the existing method of performing different functions in the Ministry.

Addendum

(Illustration of C++ experiences and knowledge)
My knowledge of C++ is accumulated from development work utilizing an object library from Apple Computer Inc. called MacApp; on the Apple Macintosh platform. This knowledge was refined with a strong foundation in the C programming language. The foundation was built from the development of the Records Management System and Mapping application for the Hamilton Wentworth Regional Police.

As to working knowledge of C++. Most recently, I was member of a team which implemented a string message catalog class utilizing the Standard Template Class library for PAGE Systems Inc. in the Internationalization project. I acquired a great deal of knowledge of C++ while contracting with Sciex, developing a new generation of their instrument control application. This development was designed specifically with Object-Oriented Software Engineering in mind, on the Macintosh platform utilizing the MacApp application framework. In the past I gained experience with C++ from the design and implementation of a Strategic Information Management System for the Ottawa Police Force while employed by Comnetix Computer Systems Inc., and the development of a Contouring and Terrain Modeling commercial application while employed by COMPUneering Inc..

The work described above provided me with many opportunities to explore the various aspect of the C++ programming language.

Some areas are as follows:

• definitions of abstract classes, their fields and methods;
• definitions of subclasses, their inherited and overridden methods;
• definitions of virtual functions;
• constructors and destructors;
• Failure Handling;
• overloading methods.

The total experience of the C++ language is approximately eight and a half years.
